Comments:	Members’ accounts or credits will be charged when the booking is made for some events. However, for other events they will be charged the day after the event. If a cancellation is made up to one week before the event the full amount will be refunded. If a cancellation is made bewteen two and five working days before the event, every endeavour will be made to fill the place but if this is not possible then a partial refund will be made so that fixed costs are covered. If a cancellation is made within two working days of the date of the event, Club staff will make every endeavour to find someone else to take the place cancelled. If successful, the full amount will be refunded. If this is not possible, the full amount may be forfeited.

Comments:	We are delighted to welcome Club Member, General Sir John McColl, to speak at March’s Fireside Chat. Deputy Supreme Allied Commander Europe, the General’s previous appointments include Deputy Commander of the Multi National Force Iraq and he was appointed as the Prime Minister’s Special Envoy to Afghanistan in 2005. Over the past two years we have listened to all the single service Chiefs and the Chief of Defence Staff. General McColl’s talk will take a different tack. It promises to be a fascinating insight not just into NATO aged 60 but, more generally, into alliance and multinational co-operation particularly in Afghanistan.
